Once inoculated, the root systems are carefully monitored to ensure that at 'point of sale', the seedlings are truly infected and to the exclusion of any harmful pathogens or competing fungi. The trees come with planting instructions. We would advise those looking to plant a larger number of trees, to test the suitability of their soil. Both truffle types require alkaline conditions.
