Truffle UK Ltd commercially cultivates various ectomycorrhizal seedlings such as oak (quercus), hazel (coryllus) and beech (fagus) by inoculating them with either the Black/Perigord (tuber melanosporum), Burgundy/Summer (tuber aestivum/uncinatum), or Bianchetto (tuber borchii) truffle fungus using technology acquired from the New Zealand Crop & Food Research Institute. The mycorrhizal inoculated seedlings are checked at 9 months to ensure 100% infection to the exclusion of any potentially competitive or harmful fungii or pathogens. The infected truffle seedlings, fresh truffle and all truffle- related products may be purchased online, via Mail Order along with accompanying truffle recipes and even notes on how to train your truffle hound!
