STOP PRESS - The latest developments at Truffle UK Ltd

Adrian Cole and I have decided to concentrate on our 'core' business and revert principally to the production and sale of truffle-inoculated tree whips. We made this decision on the back of this seasons successful 'finds' of truffle under trees inoculated by us, both here and in France. We have been asked not to publicise this as widely as we would have liked in order to protect the Estates involved.

In anticipation of increasing volumes of orders, we have contracted out the inoculation process using our now successfully 'proven' protocol and this will enable us to supply a greater variety of tree species.

We would particularly recommend, in the light of our experiences, hazel and oak although the signs around the beech are looking promising!

The programme for ordering remains seasonal as we hold the whips until they are at least 10 months old and then need to be planted out in the late winter to early Spring months. In view of the high transport costs the minimum order will be 20 whips. These will be priced at £12.85 + vat + delivery.

For orders in excess of 100, we will supply a quote at the time of enquiry.

We still have a limited stock of truffle food products on the website which are in a 'clearance sale' of up to half price – so get buying or you will miss some real bargains!

We shall be continuing with the sale of fresh truffle and for those of you who are regular customers – just email or call me on +44 7767 494973, as usual.

If you own some woodland overlying chalk/limestone, you could well have truffle growing naturally. If this is the case, we can arrange a 'hunt' and subsequent 'survey' to be undertaken with any truffle 'finds' recorded. This would of course be carried out in the strictest confidence.

Finally, to those of you who are training or who have trained a dog to find truffle – do keep me informed of progress as we could well have some work for you & your 'hound' in the near future!

Best wishes and happy truffling!
